BROOKLYN, NY, July 15, 2014 – Healthfirst is sponsoring the second annual Brooklyn Cyclones youth baseball clinic series at MCU Park – 1904 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11224. The series launches with the first clinic scheduled on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 8:00am -11:00am.
Each clinic will offer 25 children ages 7- 14 the unique opportunity to meet and interact with Brooklyn Cyclones coaches and active players to learn baseball fundamentals. During the 45-minute long clinics, attendees will participate in 10-minute drills consisting of fielding, hitting, pitching and additional baseball tactics, followed by a 5-minute cool down. Clinics are free of charge. Participants are selected from Healthfirst partner community-based organizations in Brooklyn.

Additional youth clinics will be held on Wednesday, August 13 (Fantasy Camp open to teenagers ages 14-21) and Sunday, August 24. Healthfirst is also sponsoring Angels in the Outfield night on Wednesday, August 27 at 7:00pm. On that night, local faith-based organizations are invited to attend the game featuring gospel performances and a special awards ceremony honoring local Brooklyn community leaders.
