NEW YORK, NY,August 15, 2014 – Healthfirst, a not-for-profit managed care organization that provides affordable healthcare coverage to residents of the New York City metropolitan area, launches it its annual Back-to-School Campaign today in the New York City metropolitan area. During the months of August and September, Healthfirst will distribute free backpacks and school supplies (i.e. notebooks, pens/pencils, rulers, calculators) to students to help families with preparation for the start of the school year at scheduled back-to-school events in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Long Island.
Healthfirst media partners – WBLS-FM, Univision, and Sinovision – will be on-site at select events to host the cutest “back-to-school” kid photo contest. Parents will be able to enter their child into the contest with a photo taken of their child at the event location. Photos are uploaded to the station’s website for the public to cast their vote for the cutest “back-to-school” kid. Winners will receive a $250 back-to-school shopping gift card.
