NEW YORK, NY, July 31, 2017 – Healthfirst and CAMS-CAIPA Community Service Fund proudly present the annual Jade Star Karaoke Contest. The event will kick off with a press conference on Monday, August 7 at the Lin Sing Association.
This year marks the 11th anniversary of this signature event, which has become a highly anticipated celebration. The seniors showcase their dynamic singing talents and are the main attractions at this entertaining evening that fosters community camaraderie.

We are thrilled to partner again with CAMS-CAIPA Community Service Fund to offer this unique experience and an outlet for healthy, creative expression,” said George Hulse, Healthfirst’s Vice President of Community Engagement.
The 2017 Jade Star Karaoke Contest features two categories: Green and White Jade. The top three finishers will receive a grand prize of $600, $400, and $300, respectively. Contestants must be age 55 or older and a resident of New York to be eligible to participate. All songs will be performed in Cantonese or Mandarin.
Registration forms are available at more than 50 locations, including community associations, senior centers, pharmacies, hospitals, and Healthfirst community offices. Contest registration is open until August 16, 2017. The Grand Finale, expected to attract more than 1,000 guests, is scheduled for October 6 at Jing Fong Restaurant.
